Role Description Vexxel is seeking a senior commercial leader to build and lead the Mexican commercialization of its biological crop-protection portfolio. Reporting to the CEO and executive leadership, the MX Commercial Lead will own domestic revenue growth, channel development, product-launch execution, pricing and commercial recommendations, account-level forecasting, and customer adoption.

The successful candidate will combine established relationships across MX agricultural distribution and retail with the entrepreneurial ability to create markets for differentiated biological technologies. This individual will operate as both a strategic leader and hands-on commercial executor, managing one direct report and working closely with Regulatory, R&D;, Technical Service, Supply Chain, and Marketing to convert product performance into sustainable revenue and repeat customer demand.

Key Responsibilities

- Execute MX Commercial Strategy: Translate approved corporate revenue goals into actionable MX commercial plans, account priorities, and product-level revenue and treated-acre targets.
- MX Channel Strategy & Management: Lead the recommendation for Vexxel’ specialty-crop channel model, recommend and recruit the distributor network needed; and evaluate exclusivity, private-label, and licensing structures where commercially compelling.
- Value Proposition & Go-to-Market Strategy: Establish the value proposition and go-to-market strategy for our product. Define target crops and customers, competitive positioning, pricing recommendations, proof points, channel economics, and market-entry plans, with initial emphasis on specialty crops across Mexico. Position our product for use as an inert formulation ingredient with manufacturers.
- Customer Adoption & Repeatable Demand: Build measurable market pull by tracking purchases, treated acres, grower adoption, repeat orders, active retail locations, and product movement through distribution.

Develop reference customers and channel advocates that support sustained growth.
- Product Pipeline Contributions: Provide structured commercial input for the prioritization of all our product-pipeline projects. Participate in quarterly reviews and assess customer need, market potential, differentiation, pricing potential, channel fit, adoption barriers, commercialization model, technical proof requirements, and time to revenue. Recommend whether projects should be advanced, sequenced, repositioned, partnered, deferred, or discontinued.
- Commercial Recommendations & Negotiation: Lead commercial negotiations and make recommendations regarding pricing, discounts, performance requirements, exclusivity, private label, licensing, and other material terms. The CEO will review and approve final commercial commitments.
- Cross-Functional Commercialization: Coordinate with Regulatory, R&D;, Technical Service, Supply Chain, and Marketing to ensure priority products are positioned, supplied, supported, and commercialized in accordance with customer commitments and approved plans.
- Industry Representation: Be the primary commercial face of Vexxel at key regional distributor meetings and national industry conferences.
- Reporting, Forecasting & Performance Management: Own MX sales forecasting, account and opportunity tracking, product-level revenue and acreage reporting, distributor inventory and sell-through visibility, and performance reporting against approved annual targets.

Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agribusiness,

Agronomy, Plant Science, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- Experience: 10+ years of progressive commercial experience in agricultural inputs, including crop protection, biologicals, or specialty-crop markets.
- Channel Track Record: Proven history of building and managing distributor and agricultural-retailer relationships, negotiating channel agreements, and creating demand for new products.
- Commercial Launch Experience: Demonstrated responsibility for launching at least one new crop-protection, biological, or specialty-crop product and converting technical performance into customer adoption and revenue.
- Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of MX distribution tiers, specialty-crop growers and retailers, adoption drivers, and regional agronomic dynamics
- Commercial Acumen: Strong negotiation, deal-structuring, pricing, analytical, forecasting, and executive-presentation skills. Able to develop clear recommendations for CEO approval.
- Execution Focus: Demonstrated success delivering sales targets and commercial launches in an entrepreneurial, resource-constrained, and fast-paced environment.

- Mobility: Willingness to travel domestically up to 30–40%.

Desired Attributes

- Growth Mindset: Energetic, entrepreneurial, and resourceful self-starter with a passion for bringing disruptive biological technologies to MX growers.
- Collaborative Partner: Skilled at bridging R&D;, Regulatory, Technical Service, Supply Chain, and commercial functions to deliver practical, customer-centric solutions and improve pipeline decisions.
- Strategic & Tactical Balance: Capable of driving day-to-day sales pipeline activities while keeping broader MX strategic growth milestones in view.
- Mission-Aligned: Passionate about advancing Vexxel’ mission to deliver sustainable, biologically based crop solutions across Mexican agriculture.
