**SEND Teaching Assistant**
**Location**: Burley, Leeds
**Contract**: Long-term, with potential to become permanent
PK Education are seeking a **dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant** to provide **1:1 support for a Year 5 pupil** in a welcoming primary school near Burley, Leeds. This is a fantastic long-term opportunity, with the potential to become permanent for the right person.
**About the role**:
- Supporting a Year 5 pupil with **complex needs and Autism**:
- Working on a **1:1 basis**, focusing on tailored support and building positive routines
- The pupil uses **non-verbal communication** but is able to **write and type** effectively
- No high-risk or aggressive behaviours




- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised learning and care.
**About you**:
- MUST have **SEND experience**, ideally with Autism and **speech & language needs**:
- Previous experience supporting children in **KS2** is highly desirable
- Patient, consistent, and able to use creative strategies to aid communication and engagement
- Reliable, committed, and able to build strong relationships with both the pupil and staff team
