This freelance opportunity is perfect for locals who enjoy storytelling, cultural exchange, and creating authentic experiences. **No professional tour guide license is required.**
**Responsibilities**:
- Lead engaging, customized walking tours for small groups
- Share authentic stories and insights about Cancun’s landmarks, neighborhoods, and culture
- Adapt each tour to guests’ interests and pace
- Ensure a welcoming, safe, and memorable experience for every visitor
- Optionally host food-focused or culinary experiences




**Requirements**:
- Excellent knowledge of Cancun’s history, attractions, and hidden gems
- Fluency in at least one of the following languages:
English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Chinese, or Portuguese
- Friendly, approachable, and outgoing personality
- Comfortable hosting tours lasting **3 to 8 hours**
**Nice to Have**:
- Previous guiding or hospitality experience (a plus, not required)
