The Body D&R; Engineer will be responsible for the engineering, design, development, timing and production release for some of the following functions: Body-in-white / Body closure sheet metal and hinging / Fascia/bumper / Underbody shield and Wheel liners / Cladding & flares / Body exterior (moldings, badges, decals and vents) / Front Lighting / EE & Signal Lighting / Fixed Glass/ Wipers /Fuel Door components /systems from initial design concept through full volume production.

Requirements




Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
5-8 yrs of engineering automotive component experience designing and developing on the following: Body in White, Closures, or Exterior Systems
'• Experience designing and developing on the following: --->Body in White, Closures, or Exterior Systems
• CAD experience with Unigraphics NX, Catia V5 and Teamcenter in a production release environment BIW (Body in White)
• Knowledgeable regarding high strength steels/ aluminum forming processes, weld parameters and GD&T;
• Experience with OEM or supplier on design and release
• Experience/knowledge with Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R;) and validation plans
• BoM’s creation and edition
• Knowledge and experience with composites and composite production processes
• Release experience in both Mechanical and elec
