The Role
As a Database Administrator at Kyndryl, you’ll be responsible for the administration, operation, and support of relational and non‑relational database environments, primarily Microsoft SQL Server. In this role, you ensure database availability, performance, security, and reliability while supporting mission‑critical production systems under defined SLAs.
You will manage database installations and configurations, monitor performance, troubleshoot incidents, and collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to support business requirements.



Your work contributes directly to stable operations, data integrity, and continuous service improvement in enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Administer and operate MS SQL Server databases, ensuring availability, performance, and stability.
- Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade database engines following operational standards.
- Monitor environments, analyze alerts, and troubleshoot incidents in critical production systems.
- Manage backup, recovery, high‑availability solutions, and capacity planning.
- Optimize queries, support applications, and maintain technical documentation and standards.
