**The Role**
As an Oracle Database Administrator at Kyndryl, you will be responsible for the administration, operation, and support of enterprise relational and non‑relational Oracle database environments. In this role, you will ensure the availability, performance, security, and reliability of business‑critical data platforms supporting customer operations.
You will work closely with cross‑functional and global teams to support production environments under strict service level agreements (SLAs), resolve incidents, and continuously improve database services aligned with Kyndryl standards and best practices.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Administer and operate Oracle relational and non‑relational database environments, ensuring stability and high availability.
- Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade database engines, including patching, hardening, and lifecycle management.
- Monitor database performance and capacity, executing performance tuning, optimization, and capacity planning activities.
- Provide operational support for business‑critical production environments under SLAs, including alert analysis and incident troubleshooting.
- Manage database security, backups, recovery, high availability solutions, and maintain accurate technical documentation and operational standards.

**Who You Are**

**Required Technical and Professional Experience**
- 4+ years of experience in database administration and operations within enterprise or production environments.
- Hands‑on experience administering Oracle databases, including relational and non‑relational platforms.
- Strong experience with database installation, configuration, maintenance, patching, upgrades, and hardening.
- Proven knowledge of performance management, capacity planning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Experience supporting production environments under SLAs.
- Solid understanding of backup, recovery, high availability, security management (users, roles, permissions), and query optimization.
- Experience creating technical documentation and supporting operational standardization.
- Intermediate English proficiency, required to collaborate with global teams and document technical processes.




**Preferred Technical and Professional Experience**
- Oracle Database Administration Professional certification (or higher).
- Experience working in large‑scale, enterprise, or regulated environments.
- Familiarity with IT service management practices and structured operational frameworks.- Exposure to continuous improvement initiatives and operational best practices.
