Airline Disruption Operations Expert Location: Remote — Americas · Full-time
You've lived the 2 AM cancellation. Now help us make it obsolete.
Disruptions cost the airline industry an estimated US$60 billion a year, and at most carriers, the response still runs on phone calls and spreadsheets.
Nexa automates what happens after a flight cancels: hotel allocation for stranded passengers, policy enforcement by fare class, direct hotel payment, and a digital voucher in every passenger's hands in minutes instead of hours. We built it after living this problem from inside a world-class company, and we're growing fast across the Americas and Europe.
We're looking for someone who has actually run disruptions from the inside OCC, passenger services, airport duty management to shape how our platform makes decisions. You'll turn the tribal knowledge of "how this really works at 2 AM" into product logic used across carriers.
What you've done:
4+ years in airline operations: OCC,
hub/station control, passenger services, or disruption management
Managed real IROPS events end to end: reaccommodation, hotels, meals, transport, crew constraints
You know the gap between what the manual says and what actually happens
English required; Spanish or Portuguese a strong plus
What you'll do:
- Define disruption playbooks and policy logic inside the product
- Sit in on airline demos and POCs as the voice of operations
- Stress-test our disruption predictor against how the real world breaks
Nexa is defining the new standard for how airlines respond when the operation breaks. You've spent years mastering the hardest night in aviation; this is where that expertise stops being firefighting and starts shaping how the entire industry handles it.
