Full Stack Software Engineer — Java, Spring Boot & AWS (Backend-Heavy)
Remote | EV Charging & Telemetry Platform
Compensation & Benefits
$55,000 MXN net per month
● 12 days of paid vacation
● 15 days of Christmas bonus (aguinaldo)
● Fully remote position
Before you apply: This role requires hands-on production experience with Java + Spring Boot and AWS. If your background is primarily .NET, PHP, or frontend-only, this won't be the right fit — please save us both the time.
About the Role
We're hiring a Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team as a full-time employee at a fast-moving startup. You'll work end-to-end across our systems — from backend microservices to our fleet management web platform and AWS telemetry pipelines that process real-time data from EV chargers in the field. This is a backend-heavy full stack role: most of the day-to-day is Java/Spring Boot and AWS, with React work layered on top.
What You'll Work On
● Build and maintain RESTful microservices using Java and Spring Boot
● Integrate with AWS services including SQS, S3, Lambda, IoT Core, and RDS
● Work on real-time telemetry pipelines processing hardware events and energy metrics from EV chargers in the field
● Develop features for our fleet operations web application — a React platform used by fleet operators to monitor and manage charging networks
● Deploy and maintain services on Kubernetes (EKS) using Helm and Terraform
● Collaborate closely with hardware and firmware teams to support new charger capabilities
What We're Looking For
● Strong, hands-on proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for production REST APIs (this is the core of the role)
● Real, hands-on AWS experience with services like SQS, Lambda, IoT Core, or similar event-driven/cloud services
● 5+ years of software engineering experience
● Solid experience with React and component-based UI development
● Comfortable working with Docker and Kubernetes
● Strong understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL)
● Strong ownership mindset and comfort operating in a startup environment
Nice to Have
● MUI experience
● Python experience, especially for telemetry and data pipeline work
● Experience with IoT platforms or real-time data pipelines
● Familiarity with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins or GitLab
● Infrastructure-as-code experience using Terraform or Helm
● TimescaleDB experience
● Prior experience at an early-stage startup
