POSITION SUMMARY
This position will lead the monthly financial close process for the Mexico City business, which consists of the Wrangler® brand, with ultimate responsibility for accurate and timely monthly financial reporting to the corporate office.

This leader should consistently demonstrate a high level of ethics to all members of the accounting team and the organization.

Key responsibilities will include preparation and review of all journal entries associated with the financial close, with intense focus on higher risk accounts such as bad debt reserves, inventory and related reserves, AP and accruals, and refund liabilities for customer returns and discounts.





This position is also responsible for the preparation and/or review of monthly account reconciliations, and execution of Kontoor’s internal controls framework in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements. This position will also work with KBI’s Corporate Treasury Department, overseeing certain local cash management, accounts payable and customer accounting function

DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES
- Responsible for timely and accurate monthly financial reporting to the corporate office
- Preparation and review of monthly journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Act as a "Legal representative" for the entity responsible for local tax, audit and statutory regulatory communications and compliance.
- Display peak levels of ethics and morality, representing the office with integrity and a proactive “lead by example” approach.
- Coach and develop less-experienced staff.
