SUMMARY: The GPD Site Officer will own the product development process for the Production site, working in close partnership with GPD Hubs, CPD, Pricing and CPL to ensure timely and efficient product set up through first order readiness. GPD Site officer plays a key role in elevating our customer’s brands by leading the development of creative, innovative branding solutions for apparel brand owners and retailers. This position provides deep product expertise within a given product line by bringing insights, solutions, and options to the Supply Chain and OPS Team. ACTIVITIES: Activities and duties will vary dependent upon functional area assigned. Activities may include, but are not limited to:

- Act as the product development expert, demonstrating comprehensive technical knowledge for a given product line.




- Execute the local item set-up through global artwork/spec repository in coordination with integral GPD Hub
- Support re-engineer efforts during quotation and production.
- Ensure local manufacturing receives all elements to achieve quality and lean production process (specs, color standards, work instructions)
- Administer product sampling and test orders.
- Support production to drive troubleshooting with first orders.
- Liaise between GPD Hubs and Global Sampling & Product Deployment hubs to deploy new items to production
- Remain current on industry trends and product innovations to effectively partner with GPD Hub in leveraging Avery Dennison solutions.

Qualifications

We are looking for:

- Degree in Industrial Designer, Industrial Engineer or related field
- 1-3 years of experience in product development areas, in manufacturing companies, management of International customers, in terms of product development, pricing, technical support. Apparel, Packaging or Graphic industry desired.
- English intermediate level
- Skills and Knowledge
- Knowledge of Industry, products and applications preferred.
- Good written, verbal and telephone communication skills.
- Good customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail & organizational skills.
- Strong technical aptitude.
