BI Engineer (dbt / Tableau)

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced BI Engineer to design, develop, and optimize enterprise BI solutions. The idóneo candidate combines strong expertise in Tableau dashboard development, SQL, and dbt with hands-on experience in modern data warehouse environments. This role involves collaborating with business stakeholders to deliver scalable analytics solutions while ensuring data quality, governance, and performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Dashboard Design & Development
- Design and develop dashboards and reports using Tableau, ThoughtSpot, and Plotly.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and data models.
- Optimize dashboard performance and user experience.

Data Modeling & Engineering
- Work with Analytics Engineers on data modeling and dimension table design.
- Develop and maintain dbt transformations and data quality tests.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reporting assets.

Analytics Governance
- Centralize and standardize dashboards following BI best practices.
- Maintain dashboard documentation,



lineage, and refresh schedules.
- Manage access control and apply data governance standards.

Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with business teams to gather requirements and deliver BI solutions.
- Provide ad-hoc reporting and train users on self-service analytics.
- Recommend improvements to reporting and visualization standards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience
- 6–10 years of BI or Analytics Engineering experience.
- 4+ years developing Tableau dashboards (or equivalent BI tools).
- 3+ years working with SQL and data warehouse concepts.
- 2+ years gathering requirements directly with business stakeholders.

Technical Skills
- Expert-level Tableau.
- Advanced SQL and query optimization.
- Hands-on experience with dbt.
- Experience with Snowflake and modern data warehouse architectures.
- Familiarity with ThoughtSpot and/or Plotly.
- Knowledge of data governance and BI best pract
