### A Day in the Life

As Head of Strategic Market Expansion of The EMC2 ENGINEER in Mexico, you can expect to handle high-level capital deployment activities related to land acquisitions and development of industrial and logistics products. You will play a key role in driving investment strategy, market activity, and organic growth. Our leaders are critical to the ongoing future growth of our business.

Having a background in setting an investment strategy and leading the origination, underwriting, and execution of infrastructure and property acquisitions is critical for success on day one.



This role will be based in our Mexico City office with a focus over our national markets.

### Key Responsibilities Include

Partnering with local Market Officers, Leasing, and Development teams to drive deal flow by directly identifying new capital deployment and market expansion opportunities (including green-field land acquisition and development, value-add redevelopments, and support M&A; and entity investments).

Leveraging existing professional relationships and developing new strategic contacts to generate business opportunities with potential real estate partners, private sellers, brokers, investment bankers, owners, developers, consultants, and high net-worth individuals.

Identifying and presenting new investment opportunities to Senior Leadership as well as The EMC2 ENGINEER Investment Committee.

Demonstrating the ability to identify, anticipate, communicate, and capitalize on market trends to bring industry-leading returns to the firm.

Developing comprehensive knowledge of all company assets, strategy, processes, and systems.

Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to execute high-impact strategic initiatives.

### Building Blocks for Success

Required:





5+ year track record of acquiring and developing commercial real estate with a focus on industrial properties and infrastructure.

Broad industry experience in acquisitions, entitlements and rezoning processes, project management, leasing, and development.

Strong background in underwriting land acquisitions including value-add opportunities with a proven track record of value creation.

In-depth understanding of development pro forma modeling, general construction process and pricing, redevelopment, and entitlement processing.

Background in negotiating PSAs, leases, development agreements, and reporting on project performance.

Travel expectation: 30%–50%.

Preferred:

Experience managing and growing high-performance junior team members.

Demonstrates willingness and capability to leverage emerging technology, automation, and AI tools to improve efficiency, quality, and speed. Exercises sound judgment, creative thinking, and accountability for outcomes.
