Amazon's Global Direct Imports team is seeking an experienced Instock Manager who independently owns end-to-end supply chain performance—from manufacturer through fulfillment center availability—for a high-growth, strategically critical import program. This role requires translating complex data analysis into actionable insights that drive category-level decisions, while developing and executing inventory management strategies that optimize customer experience, sales, and margin across multiple vendors and geographies.
This individual demonstrates strong business judgment, anticipates trade-offs, and influences vendor operational performance while managing multiple concurrent projects. They bring deep analytical acumen, translate operational strategy into day-to-day decisions, and confidently present data-backed recommendations to senior leadership. They thrive in ambiguity, exercise sound judgment when new data emerges, and quickly course-correct to deliver results.
This position is based in Amazon's Mexico City office.
About the Hiring Group
The International Expansions team launches new Amazon marketplaces around the world. Our General Retail Imports program works with top vendors through direct imports for emerging countries. The team is based in Mexico and Seattle, working closely with stakeholder teams in Australia, Mexico, Canada, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, and the US.
Key job responsibilities
Own the end-to-end instock function including forecasting, ordering, capacity management, instock rates, and unhealthy inventory management—independently identifying top-priority actions and driving resolution across teams.
Develop and implement import ordering strategies that optimize the domestic/import sourcing mix, translating data analysis into actionable category-level recommendations.
Drive buying automation and system enhancements in partnership with technical and product teams, defining requirements, managing prioritization, and overseeing implementation of scalable solutions.

Lead supply chain optimization and defect reduction initiatives cross-functionally with operations teams, identifying root causes and delivering measurable improvements.
Own, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators (vendor import share, out-of-stock rates, vendor lead time, fill rate, unhealthy inventory, forecast accuracy), providing insights that influence broader business decisions and presenting findings to senior leadership.
Lead a team of high performing Instock Managers.
