Overview

Our client is looking for aCustomer Service Representative Property & Casualty Insuranceto join a US-based insurance brokerage specializing in property and casualty coverage. In this role, you will act as a vital bridge between individual or commercial clients and insurance carriers, managing policy updates, certificates, and documentation. You will navigate real-time, non-scripted challenges by applying critical thinking, sound judgment, and natural communication to resolve complex inquiries.

Schedule:

- Mon-Fri 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Eastern Time

Responsibilities

- Handle inbound and outbound client communications regarding policy changes, certificates, and documentation requests
- Resolve customer issues independently without unnecessary escalation, using intuition and social awareness
- Coordinate between clients and insurance carriers to address policy questions and resolve discrepancies
- Process insurance documentation including certificates, policy changes, and endorsements accurately and efficiently
- Navigate complex or escalating client situations with professionalism and emotional intelligence
- Proactively identify and resolve problems before they impact the client relationship
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and policy updates
- Think critically to solve non-routine problems that don't have a playbook solution

Requirements

Must-Have:

- Fluent English proficiency with strong grasp of nuance and context in conversation




- Proven customer service experience in roles requiring independent problem-solving
- Demonstrated ability to think on your feet and make sound decisions without constant supervision
- Strong social awareness and ability to de-escalate tense situations naturally
- Common sense and practical judgment in handling unexpected challenges
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly
- Comfortable working US business hours (Eastern Time)

Nice-to-Have:

- Bonus if you have experience in insurance, particularly property and casualty
- It helps if you've worked in a brokerage or agency environment
- Bonus if you're familiar with insurance documentation such as certificates and endorsements
