About the Role
Aon is seeking an experienced and commercially driven professional to lead its M&A; and Transaction Solutions (AMATS) practice across Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean. This leadership role will be responsible for driving the growth and development of Aon's Transaction Solutions and Transaction Advisory Services offerings throughout the region. The successful candidate will combine strong expertise in mergers and acquisitions, corporate transactions, and risk management with a proven ability to build client relationships, generate business opportunities, and lead high-performing teams.
As the regional leader, you will work closely with corporate clients, private equity sponsors, investment banks, legal advisors, and insurers, helping clients navigate transaction-related risks while positioning Aon as the leading advisor in transactional risk solutions across the sub-region.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Market Growth
- Develop and execute growth strategies for the AMATS practice across the region.
- Build and maintain relationships with private equity firms, law firms, investment banks, lenders, and corporate clients.
- Identify and originate new business opportunities through proactive networking and market engagement.
- Lead client presentations, negotiations, and strategic discussions with senior executives.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of opportunities to achieve revenue and profitability objectives.
- Represent Aon at industry events, conferences, and thought leadership initiatives.
Transaction Risk Advisory
- Advise clients on transactional risk solutions, including:
- Representations & Warranties Insurance
- Tax Liability Insurance
- Contingent Risk Insurance
- Other specialized transactional risk products
- Support the development of Transaction Advisory Services, including:
- Insurance and Risk Due Diligence
- Lender’s Insurance Advisory
- Transaction-related risk assessments
- Analyze deal structures, acquisition agreements, and due diligence findings to identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Translate complex legal and technical concepts into practical business solutions for clients.
Placement & Market Execution
- Lead the structuring and placement of transactional insurance programs.
- Coordinate underwriting and negotiation processes with specialized insurance markets.
- Partner with global and regional Aon specialists to deliver the best solutions for clients.
- Review and compare insurer proposals to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Stay informed on M&A; trends, regulatory developments, and market innovations.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and develop the AMATS team across Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean.
- Foster collaboration with colleagues across Commercial Risk, Broking, Legal, and other business units.
- Drive knowledge sharing, mentoring, and capability building within the practice.
- Collaborate with Aon’s global network to identify cross-border opportunities and leverage best practices.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Law (Mexico).
- Fluent English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
- Significant experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate transactions, private equity, or related advisory services.
- Strong understanding of M&A; structures, transaction execution, and acquisition agreements.
- Proven ability to work with senior executives, investors, legal advisors, and financial institutions.
Preferred
- Experience in a leading law firm, consulting organization, financial institution, or transactional advisory practice.
- Exposure to cross-border transactions.
- Knowledge of transactional insurance products, risk management, financial services, or due diligence advisory.
- Previous experience leading teams, specialized practices, or business units.
- Strong business development, sales, and client relationship management experience.
