The Role
As a Teradata Database Administrator at Kyndryl, you will be responsible for the administration, operation, and optimization of enterprise relational and non‑relational database environments, with a strong focus on Teradata Vantage platforms. In this role, you will ensure database availability, performance, security, and reliability to support mission‑critical business applications.
You will work in highly complex, SLA‑driven environments, providing operational support, performance tuning, capacity planning, and incident resolution.



Collaborating with cross‑functional technical teams, you will help maintain stable database operations while driving continuous improvement through standardization, automation, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities
- Administer and operate relational and non‑relational databases, including installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of database engines.
- Monitor database performance, execute capacity planning activities, and optimize queries to support business‑critical applications.
- Provide production support for critical environments, ensuring incident resolution, alert analysis, and troubleshooting within defined SLAs.
- Manage backup, recovery, high availability, patching, upgrades, and database hardening to ensure data integrity and resilience.
- Implement database security and access controls, maintain technical documentation, and support operational standardization initiatives.
