Multifamily Portfolio Analyst

Reports To: Portfolio / Investment Management Team

Position Objective

Support the financial monitoring of a multifamily real estate portfolio by collecting, organizing, and reviewing quarterly financial information from multiple sponsors and properties.

The analyst will identify missing information, inconsistencies, and material variances, and communicate relevant findings to the internal team.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Monitoring

- Contact investment sponsors to obtain quarterly financial statements and supporting data.
- Input financial information into standardized Excel reporting models.
- Review data for missing figures, anomalies, or inconsistencies.
- Analyze rental income, operating expenses, debt schedules, reserves, and other property-level financial information.
- Compare current performance against prior periods or projections.
- Flag material variances and follow up when additional information is required.
- Maintain accurate financial information across multiple multifamily assets.

Reporting & Analysis

- Perform financial statement and variance analysis.
- Summarize key findings and discrepancies for the internal team.
- Support recurring quarterly portfolio reporting.
- Communicate clearly with sponsors and internal team members.

Requirements

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business,



or a related field preferred.

Experience

- 2–5 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, real estate finance, asset management, or property accounting.
- Experience analyzing multifamily properties strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of financial statements, GL reconciliation, and variance analysis.

Skills

- Strong accounting and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to identify financial inconsistencies and material variances.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Professional English proficiency.
- Ability to work independently and manage recurring deadlines.

Technical Skills

- Advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with financial reporting models and formula auditing.
- Understanding of rental income, operating expenses, debt, and reserves.

Work Mode: Remote

This is a fully remote position supporting a U.S.-based real estate investment team.

The role requires regular communication in English and availability during agreed U.S. business hours.
