**Your Role**:
As a **QA Automation Engineer**, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, scalability, and performance of data platforms and digital solutions throughout their development lifecycle.
This hybrid role combines **data QA** automation, backend/frontend test strategy, and CI/CD integration expertise.
You will work cross-functionally with **DevOps, Data Engineering, and Development teams** to define, implement, and manage testing frameworks across APIs, data pipelines, microservices, and user interfaces.
You will also play a key role in promoting QA excellence, compliance, and test automation culture within Agile environments.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Design and implement **test automation frameworks** for backend (APIs), frontend (UI), and data pipelines (ETL/ELT).
- Ensure the **quality and integrity** of large datasets across data lakes, warehouses, and production environments.
- Lead **test strategy definition**, planning, execution, and reporting, aligned with Agile workflows.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab).




- Validate **RESTful, GraphQL**, or **gRPC APIs**, and ensure robust coverage of integration and regression scenarios.
- Write and optimize **SQL** queries for data validation, transformation testing, and profiling.
- Automate test cases for **data ingestion, transformation logic, schema evolution**, and API interactions.
- Monitor QA KPIs and visualize test results using **Grafana**, **Kibana**, or similar tools.
- Identify defects early and ensure continuous improvement through **root cause analysis** and collaboration.
**Who You Are**:
**Must-Have Skills**:
- **3+ years** of experience in QA automation, including **data-related projects** and **platform-level testing**.
- Strong experience with **Karate (Java)**, **JUnit/TestNG**, or similar tools for backend automation.
- Expertise in **JavaScript or Java** for test scripting and framework design.
- Solid understanding of **REST, GraphQL**, and **API lifecycle** testing.
- Hands-on experience with **SQL**, **ETL validation**, and data consistency checks.
- Proven experience with **frontend test automation** using **Selenium, Cypress**, or **Appium**.
- Knowledge of **CI/CD pipelines**, Git, and cloud-based test environments.
- Experience with **data orchestration tools** like **Apache Airflow** or **dbt**.
- Comfortable working with **Linux-based systems** and reading logs in DevOps tools (e.g., Datadog).




- ISTQB Certification (mandatory).
**Nice to Have**:
- Experience with **BDD tools** like Cucumber, QMetry, or similar.
- Familiarity with **performance testing tools**: JMeter, K6, Blazemeter, Taurus.
- Hands-on with **data quality frameworks** such as **Great Expectations**, **Datafold**, or **Monte Carlo**.
- Exposure to **Kafka**, **event-driven architectures**, or streaming validation.
- Knowledge of data security, compliance (GDPR), and **ML pipeline testing**.
- Familiarity with **screenplay patterns**, **Postman**, or other manual testing tools.
