Lead the creation and growth of the Data & Analytics capability for LATAM.
Build and lead a high-performing team that delivers scalable data platforms, advanced analytics, and a regional data governance model for LATAM.Translate business needs into data-driven solutions to turn data into a strategic asset that drives insights, improves decision making, and accelerates business outcomes across the region.
'Manage end-to-end delivery of data engineering, analytics, BI, and governance for LATAM; partner with regional and corporate stakeholders to define priorities, standards, and operating model.
Hire, mentor, and scale a cross-functional team (data engineers, analysts, data stewards) while ensuring compliance, data quality, security, and measurable business impact across multiple countries and business domains.
This role has a direct reporting line with the LATAM IT Director and a dotted line with the Data & Analytics Integral Head.ResponsibilitiesTeam building & leadership: recruit, develop, and retain a cross-functional data teamData governance & compliance: design and deploy LATAM governance, policies, metadata, lineage, stewardshipData platform & architecture: design, operate, scale cloud data platforms and pipelinesData quality & master data: implement data quality rules, monitoring, and MDM for critical domainsAnalytics & BI delivery: deliver dashboards, reports, predictive models aligned to business prioritiesStakeholder engagement & value realization: partner with regional business to prioritize use cases and measure ROIData security & privacy: enforce access controls, encryption, and privacy practicesCost & vendor management: manage budgets, cloud costs, and third-party vendorsRequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent8+ years in data, analytics, or BI roles,
with 3+ years in a people-leadership/manager role.Proven experience building and scaling data teams and operating models in multi-country or distributed environments.Track record implementing data governance, data quality, and metadata management programs.Hands-on background delivering cloud-native data platforms and analytics (production deployments).
Experience working with business stakeholders to design analytics use cases that drive measurable outcomes and ROI.Prior experience in LATAM or multi-cultural regional operations preferred.Strong project, vendor, and stakeholder management experience.Fluent in spoken and written English for executive-level presentations and technical documentation.Specific KnowledgeCloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and data lake/warehouse architectures.Analytics & visualization tools: Power BI (must)Data modeling, SQL, and familiarity with Python/R for analytics and ML pipelines.Data quality, monitoring, and observability best practices.Security, access control, and regulatory compliance in data environments.Agile delivery methodologies and DevOps/DataOps practices.Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pmModality: Full-time, 100% payroll, Hybrid in Mexico City (3 days on site, 2 days home office)Salary: $90,000 to $106,000 MXN gross monthlyYear-end bonus: 33 daysSavings fund: 13% (up to the legal limit)Grocery vouchers: 13% (up to the legal limit)Meal vouchers:
