Role SummaryIn cooperation with plant and regional Management, the LM:Supports the plant management in setting up the roadmap for the plant in line with the global / regional strategy and sets up the Lean roadmap in line with the plant strategyIs accountable for the respect of deadlines and ensures the achievement of defined targets set in the Lean roadmapLeads the target plant layout and value stream design process aiming at optimal space usage, improving material flow and reducing throughput time (focus: TOP product families in the location)Develops Lean experts and a general Lean mindset within the plantSteers training and development needs in the plant linked to MANN+HUMMEL Production System (MHPS)The LM strengthens and pilots the productivity improvement plan according to the budget and the activities defined in the roadmap:Acts as a methodological supervisor of all improvement activities aiming at the reduction of wasteCoordinates and facilitates workshops (Kaizen / Hoshin / VSM / 5S / SMED / Layout)Promotes the autonomy by training the actors to workshops' conductionIs source of proposals onto concepts aiming at improving production and logistic efficiencyReports to the plant manager and regional management on the progress (indicators / measurables)Ensures the implementation of the MHPS in the plantActs as Cross Assessor for the MHPS assessment in other plantsEnsures the implementation of the Group best practices related to LEANThe LM sets up the Lean basic tools and methodologies.He relies on managers to guarantee their implementation:«5S» on the shopfloorDevelopment of «Pull Flow» – Delivery in Kanban, Milk-Run, Supermarkets, Batch Building Box and Heijunka where appliesVSA / VSM (eVSM) and VSD to define target states on a certain value stream in the plant.TPMSMEDReview / Optimize SMED on a regular basis following latest MHPS guidance (traning, principles,



best practices)Ensure SMED tracking is done by Production following the SMED corner / dashboard / templates provided by the Lean Manager as per in MHPS definedSupport implementation of production planning and production control toolsSupport implementation of logistics, quality, employee empowerment (e.g. Idea Management) practicesMain TasksLeading the development and implementation of the lean roadmap to ensure alignment with both general and regional strategies for operational excellenceManaging the design of optimal plant layouts and value streams to enhance material flow and significantly reduce throughput timeSteering the cultivation of lean expertise within the plant while promoting a culture of continuous improvement among all team membersCoordinating and facilitating training workshops aimed at enhancing skills related to lean methodologies and fostering a deeper understanding of best practicesOverseeing the reporting of progress and performance metrics to plant management, ensuring adherence to best practices in lean implementation and continuous monitoring of outcomesLeading initiatives to meet quality standards and ensure compliance with HR regulations, data protection laws and health, safety and environmental (HSE) requirements while driving efficiency improvements by identifying process bottlenecks and implementing targeted solutionsExperienceBachelor degree in Industrial Engineering or similar / comparable educational backgroundWorking experience in a similar function of at least 5 years in the automotive industry.An operational managing responsibility in production or logistics is desirable.Expert knowledge of the LEAN tools (5S, KANBAN, SMED...)Willingness to travelPreferred: Familiar with required production processes (e.g. pleating, plastic injection molding, plastic welding, assembly)Language and Computer Abilities: Fluent in written and oral English, German is a plusCompetencies:Leadership: Achievement Orientation, Strategic Drive & Innovation, Teamleadership, Impact & Influence, Interpersonal Understanding, Teamwork & Cooperation, Developing OthersHands on and shopfloor orientationAnalytical skillsGood communication skillsIs able to get commitment to achieve a common goalConflict management Drive for resultsOperates within a network and a matrix organization#J-*****-Ljbffr
