Position Summary:The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements.
This role will lead the application of automotive quality standards and tools, drive problem‐solving activities, and support the launch and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.Location: Mexico; Travel Requirement 75%+; Language skills: Spanish and English required, German preferredKey Responsibilities:SupportAPQPactivities through all phases, ensuring robust quality planning and documentation.Prepare, review, and submitPPAPandISIRpackages in line with customer and TS-***** requirements.Develop and maintainControl Plans, FMEAs, and process flow diagramsin coordination with cross‐functional teams.Monitor production processes usingSPC, MSA, and capability studies (Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk)to ensure compliance with customer requirements.Lead8D problem‐solvingfor internal and customer issues, applying structured root cause analysis tools (e.g.,Ishikawa diagrams, 5 Whys).
Implement and verifycontainment actionsto protect customers from nonconforming product.Drivefast responseto quality concerns, ensuring effective short‐term fixes and long‐term corrective/preventive actions.Conduct internal audits againstISO **** and IATF *****requirements.Support supplier quality activities, ensuring proper flow‐down of customer‐specific requirements (CSRs).




Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance withOEM expectationsfor traceability and documentation.Use theMicrosoft Office Suite(Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) to analyze data, prepare reports, and communicate effectively across teams.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in aquality engineering rolewithin automotive or manufacturing industry.Working knowledge ofAPQP, PPAP, ISIR, TS-*****/IATF *****, ISO ****, and automotive Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC).
Strong analytical andproblem‐solving skills, with hands‐on experience in8D, Ishikawa, containment, and corrective actions.Demonstrated ability to react quickly and effectively to customer or internal quality issues.Proficiency inMicrosoft Office Suite(Excel for data analysis, PowerPoint for reporting, Word for documentation).
Excellent communication and cross‐functional collaboration skills.Experience working with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers is preferred.Spanish and English Language skills required, German preferred.75%+ Travel needed.Key Competencies:Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Ability to prioritize and respond rapidly in high‐pressure environments.Systematic thinker with structured problem‐solving approach.Team‐oriented with strong interpersonal skills.Continuous improvement mindset aligned withlean manufacturing and quality principles.Living in San Luis Potosi or surrounding cities a plus (Queretaros, Aguas calientes, Leon Guanajuato, etc).
