This specialist role is essential for maintaining employee health, safety, and well-being in compliance with corporate standards and local regulations. It focuses on three key areas: direct clinical care for work-related health issues, proactive health surveillance, and preventive program management. It also includes ensuring regulatory compliance and handling administrative responsibilities to support both immediate response and long-term risk mitigation. The position requires a licensed Doctor of Medicine with strong experience in occupational health within corporate or industrial environments. The adecuado candidate should also have expertise in managing complex cases, developing health programs, and navigating Mexican health and labor regulations.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Diagnose and treat work-related illnesses and injuries, provide emergency medical response, triage, first aid, and conduct pre-employment, periodic, and fitness-for-duty medical examinations.
Manage complex workers’ compensation and disability cases, acting as the medical liaison between employees, the company, and insurance providers.
Design and implement medical surveillance programs based on workplace risk assessments,



and lead health education, wellness, and preventive care initiatives.
Analyze occupational health data to identify emerging risks, report key metrics, and recommend control measures to management.
Ensure compliance with Mexican occupational health regulations (STPS, IMSS) and maintain accurate, confidential employee medical records.
Serve as subject matter expert in occupational medicine, providing guidance to EHS, HR, and line managers, and supporting the development of health and safety policies.
What You Bring
Valid Medical License to practice in Mexico
Board Certification in Occupational Medicine (or national equivalent)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification
ISO 45001 knowledge or certification
Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree required
Specialization or postgraduate degree in Occupational Health, Public Health, or related field preferred
8+ years of experience as an Occupational Health Physician in industrial or corporate settings preferred
Proven experience managing complex medical cases and health programs with high autonomy
Occupational Medicine: medical surveillance, preventive care, emergency medicine, case management, treatment planning
Clinical Practice: medical history documentation, patient education and counseling, ethical standards and conduct, triage, infection control
Professional qualifications: valid medical license and board certification (or eligibility)
