Job Description
Define annual objectives and milestones to ensure successful execution of the hotel program strategy
Lead the end-to-end annual RFP process, including defining requirements, developing bid packages, and facilitating bidder conferences
Evaluate and negotiate supplier proposals to secure competitive pricing and favorable contractual terms
Lead supplier selection activities and provide final recommendations based on strategic, financial, and operational criteria
Negotiate and execute supplier contracts to achieve optimal commercial outcomes
Develop and implement strategies for chainwide hotel agreements
Drive top-quartile compliance with the preferred hotel program
Build and maintain relationships with global stakeholders to leverage local market insights and improve program performance
Collaborate with hotel partners on strategic initiatives and long-term program development
Conduct quarterly business reviews with key suppliers, analyzing performance metrics such as spend, volume, rate quality, availability, and market share
Develop strategies for loyalty program enhancements, including status upgrades with preferred partners
Manage corporate reward programs to maximize utilization and prevent benefit expiration
Oversee long-term accommodation requests to ensure alignment with program standards and cost efficiency
Manage third-party provider relationships (e.g., rate assurance), including performance tracking and savings realization
Leverage reporting and analytics to expand discount availability and inform sourcing strategies
Monitor and resolve escalated hotel service issues, including quality, payment, and safety concerns
Develop and execute Online Booking Tool (OBT)
strategies to optimize hotel display and promote preferred suppliers
Communicate program goals, updates, and strategies to internal stakeholders, travel agencies, and external partners
Engage travelers and arrangers through communication channels such as intranet content, training sessions, and supplier events
Represent HPE within the hotel and travel industry; attend conferences as appropriate
Track and report savings performance, including maintaining savings tools and providing regular updates
Support supplier partnership initiatives, including Mutual Value Partnership (MVP) engagements
Expand knowledge across broader travel categories to serve as a cross-functional subject matter expert
Support additional team initiatives and projects as needed
About You
Bachelor’s degree
1. 8 years of relevant experience in the hotel or travel industry
Fluent in English
Strong integral/geographical knowledge
Ability to comply with in-office work guidelines
Knowledge and Skills
Strong knowledge of the travel industry, particularly hotel sourcing and corporate travel programs
Proven relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
Effective negotiation and contract management capabilities
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to develop forecasts, plans,
and strategic recommendations
Adaptability and interest in leveraging evolving technologies (e.g., automation, AI tools)
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
High attention to detail with a proactive, curious mindset
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Teams, Share Point, Copilot, Excel)
