? We’re Hiring: Production Manager – Automotive Tier 1

? Querétaro, Mexico

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations at an automotive Tier 1 plant in Querétaro.

This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong track record of establishing operational discipline, reinforcing accountability, and delivering measurable improvements across production teams and processes.

Key Responsibilities



• Lead daily production operations to consistently achieve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity targets.

• Directly manage and develop production supervisors, group leaders, and manufacturing personnel.

• Establish and consistently enforce clear operating standards, shop-floor discipline, standardized work, and accountability at all organizational levels.

• Demonstrate measurable improvements in employee discipline, process adherence, attendance, productivity, scrap reduction, OEE, and delivery performance.

• Drive continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing, problem-solving, visual management, and structured shop-floor routines.

• Ensure compliance with safety requirements, quality standards, customer-specific requirements, and IATF 16949 processes.

• Work closely with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Logistics, Human Resources, and other functions to resolve operational issues.

• Develop the production organization through coaching, performance management, succession planning, and capability building.





• Lead by example and maintain a visible, consistent presence on the production floor.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

• At least five years of experience as a Production Manager in an automotive Tier 1 manufacturing plant.

• Proven experience directly managing production personnel.

• Demonstrated success in strengthening shop-floor discipline and process compliance, supported by measurable operational results.

• Strong leadership, decision-making, conflict-management, and communication skills.

• Solid knowledge of automotive manufacturing systems, Lean Manufacturing, KPIs, standardized work, and continuous improvement.

• Advanced English proficiency is required.

• Intermediate German is highly desirable.

• Experience working in a European automotive organization or manufacturing environment is strongly preferred (Ideally, our customer are looking European candidates.)

• Availability to work on-site in Querétaro.
