Senior Commodity Buyer
The Casting Commodity Purchasing team is part of the global Materials Management organization and is responsible for sourcing High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) components across the North American region. The team partners closely with Engineering, Program Purchasing, Supplier Development, Manufacturing Plants, and global commodity teams to drive sourcing excellence, supplier performance, and cost competitiveness. What you can look forward to as Senior Commodity Buyer:
Lead strategic sourcing and supplier management activities for High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) powertrain components within the North American region and integral commodity organization.
~ Develop and implement sourcing strategies that support cost competitiveness, business plan savings targets, supplier performance, and localization initiatives.
Manage complex RFQs, supplier evaluations, technical reviews, commercial negotiations, and sourcing recommendations in alignment with global commodity strategies.
Drive supplier selection and sourcing decisions for new product launches, transfers,



and localization projects while ensuring alignment with cross-functional stakeholders.
Lead cross-functional supplier reviews and collaborate with Engineering, Supplier Development, Program Purchasing, Cost Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to achieve business objectives.
Negotiate and maintain commercial contracts, purchasing agreements, and annual cost reduction initiatives with strategic suppliers.
Monitor supplier performance throughout program launch and serial production, driving continuous improvement in cost, quality, delivery, and service.
Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of global part family strategies, competitive sourcing initiatives, and purchasing best practices.
Your Profile as Senior Commodity Buyer:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5+ year
