Faculty position Artificial Intelligence for Industrial Systems
The AI for Manufacturing and Supply Chain Institute (AIMS) at Tecnológico de Monterrey develops interdisciplinary research that integrates manufacturing, supply chains, and intelligent systems to address complex industrial challenges.
The Institute prioritizes strong engagement with industry and society, developing applied research programs comparable to those of leading international centers, such as the MIT Center for Transportation & Logistics. Our mission is to accelerate the development and deployment of advanced technologies that transform manufacturing and industrial operations.
The Institute invites ambitious and internationally oriented researchers to apply for a full-time faculty position focused on developing world-class interdisciplinary research, technological innovation, and technology-based entrepreneurship in Artificial Intelligence for Industrial Systems.
Requirements
Candidates for this position must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science,



Industrial Engineering, Robotics, Operations Research, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrate experience in the development and implementation of AI-based solutions for industrial systems.
- Have proven experience collaborating with industry partners and/or applied research laboratories.
- Show the ability to secure research funding and develop strategic industry partnerships.
- Possess strong written and oral communication skills in English (minimum B2 level). Spanish is desirable but not required.

Research Focus: Artificial Intelligence for Industrial Systems
The successful candidate is expected to conduct research in areas including, but not limited to:
- Development and application of artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, digital twins, and intelligent control systems for manufacturing and supply chain operations.
