Job Summary
Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we’re calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission‑critical applications. To contribute to our efforts and support the teams that build great products, we are looking for a SMT Process Engineer, located at Guadalajara North Campus. Reporting to the Process Manager, this role is responsible for supervising critical SMT processes, ensuring the correct execution of production plans,



and leading the technical team to meet quality, cost, delivery, and continuous improvement objectives.
What a typical day looks like:
- Supervise technical activities in SMT processes and coordinate the team.
- Develop and optimize programs for DEK, SPI, Camalot, and Press Fit equipment.
- Analyze and validate stencils; perform SPI debug and P&P; failure analysis.
- Develop reflow profiles as well as instrumentation of profiling boards.
- Create procedures, visual aids, and technical presentations.
- Perform capacity calculations, rates per station and identify bottlenecks in the process.
- Document and implement continuous improvement actions and Kaizen events.
- Establish Manufacturing process and manage process that are designed according to customer specifications.
- Work on the continuous improvement to increase yield, scrap reduction and cycle time.
