What You Can Expect
- Responsible for the Mexico unit´s Fixed Assets/Leasing/Prepaid expenses related tasks: prepare and document in adherence to corporate policy, including month end activities closing entries and adjustments.
- Safeguard accurate posting of asset in fixed asset ledgers in a timely manner
- Collaborate closely with Production, Corporate accounting and Auditors to ensure compliance with GAAP guidelines (ASC 360/340/842) and company policy and procedures.
- Ensure timeline and accurate bookings of Construction in Progress, Fixed Asset Capitalization, Fixed Assets scraping and accelerations




- Perform fixed assets depreciation, fixed asset write-offs, projections as needed and especially for budget planning purposes
- Prepare and review fixed asset account reconciliations and analysis to ensure completeness and accuracy and resolve account discrepancies on a timely basis
- Oversee SOX controls in Fixed assets process: CAR approvals, Capitalizations, inventory, disposals, asset transfers, leasing additions/disposals
- Plan, coordinate count and record results of periodic fixed assets physical inventory
- Periodic assessment regarding assets impairment
- Drive general process automation, documentation and continuous improvement initiatives for fixed assets geared towards operational improvement and alignment across legal entities
- Provide training and guidance to ensure that the review, approval, and accounting policies for capital purchases are globally aligned and consistently applied.
