Paint Shop Process Engineer
to join our Paint Shop team at Plant San Luis Potosí. In this key role, you will ensure stable, efficient, and quality-driven production processes, drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimize workplaces and equipment, and support new vehicle integrations.

What awaits you?
- Ensure Paint Shop processes, monitoring surface quality, paint application, and implementing corrective actions for defect elimination.
- Provide production-oriented feedback into early vehicle development phases and support pre-series builds.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing (VPS) principles across the Paint Shop value stream, ensuring process standardization and continuous improvement.
- Support the implementation and adherence to BMW working organization standards, process documentation,



safety requirements and operational procedures within Paint Shop areas.
- Plan, procure, and clear manufacturing tools, fixtures, and application systems in alignment with supply chain needs.
- Autonomously identify cost-reduction opportunities across budget, investment, and material utilization.
- Monitor operational KPIs (time, budget, quality), issue technical reports/job instructions, and grant manufacturing process clearances.

What should you bring along?
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Materials, Industrial, Automotive Engineering, or related fields.
- 3+ years of engineering experience in Automotive Paint Shop operations (surface treatment, electrocoating, topcoat, application technology, or paint automation).
- Knowledge of paint application systems, process parameters, surface defect analysis, root cause analysis and implementation of sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
- Proficiency in process documentation, KPI r
