As a Senior Manager, Data Privacy Counsel supporting Alcon’s global Privacy and Technology Law organization, you will be trusted to serve as a legal advisor on privacy, technology, and data protection matters. Working primarily with stakeholders in the United States and Canada, with opportunities to support Latin America and general initiatives, you will help Alcon responsibly use, protect, and govern personal information by providing practical, risk-based legal advice that enables innovation, commercial activity, and compliance across the business.





In this individual contributor role, a typical day will include:
- Leading privacy and technology contract negotiations across data processing agreements, business associate agreements, and other commercial contracts, balancing legal and regulatory risk with practical business needs.
- Supporting privacy and ethics by design in products, technologies, services, digital activities, and business initiatives by assessing risks and requirements related to personal information, advising on appropriate controls, and collaborating with stakeholders throughout the initiative lifecycle.
- Conducting and supporting privacy assessments across the organization, including evaluating data uses, healthcare privacy requirements, contractual obligations, cross-border considerations, and appropriate risk-mitigation measures.
