The Buyer is responsible for procurement activities of electronic components,
metals, fabricated parts, and assemblies to support manufacturing of
programmable power supplies in a high-mix environment. This role ensures
materials are purchased and delivered on time to support production schedules
while following company purchasing and supply chain procedures.

Responsibilities:

* Place purchase orders for materials, components, and services required to
support production and forecast demand.
* Monitor supplier delivery performance and follow up on open orders to ensure
on-time delivery.
* Support negotiations with suppliers regarding pricing, delivery schedules,
and payment terms.
* Assist in cost reduction and inventory management initiatives.
* Work with internal teams to resolve material shortages and supply issues
affecting production.
* Review MRP recommendations and convert requirements into purchase orders.
* Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier information.
* Coordinate with Planning, Warehouse, and Production teams to support material
availability.




* Respond to daily shortage reports and take appropriate actions to minimize
production interruptions.
* Process supplier returns, replacements, and corrective actions as needed.
* Assist Accounts Payable in resolving invoice discrepancies and supplier
payment issues.
* Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers to support
operational objectives.
* Track and communicate supplier performance metrics and delivery commitments.
* Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures.
* Complete other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

* Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Logistics, or a
related field preferred.
* 1-3 years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience in a
manufacturing environment.
* Experience purchasing electronic components, metals, fabricated parts, or
related materials preferred.
