The Role

As an EHS Engineer, you will be responsible for protecting the health, safety, and environmental well‑being of the plant workforce. This role ensures compliance with applicable governmental regulations, corporate policies, and international standards while maintaining and continuously improving the Environmental, Health & Safety programs across the site. Your work directly supports risk reduction, regulatory compliance, and a strong safety culture.

What You’ll Do (Impact Areas)
- Administer occupational health, safety, environmental, and ergonomics programs in alignment with Clarios Operating System and ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 requirements.
- Support the implementation of risk reduction initiatives and environmental, health and safety improvement projects.
- Apply Clarios best practices and support improvements related to SPIs and potentially severe events.
- Educate, train, and engage production personnel and supervisors on safe work practices, PPE, housekeeping,



and standard procedures.
- Support medical surveillance and biological monitoring programs according to OSHA standards and company policies.
- Manage PPE, workwear, and safety equipment programs according to company standards and budget.
- Administer the respiratory protection program, including fit testing, equipment distribution, cleaning, disinfection, and ventilation audits.
- Analyze EHS data to identify risks and develop effective prevention, control, and mitigation programs.
- Coordinate EHS training programs with the site training coordinator.
- Maintain updated knowledge of federal, state and local EHS regulations applicable to operations.
- Maintain legal and company EHS records, ensuring accuracy, traceability and confidentiality.
