Overview
The Credit Initiation Team Lead is an entry level position responsible for assisting in assessing the ability of individuals, companies and institutions to meet the demands of loans, agreements and extended obligations in coordination with the Operations - Services team. The overall objective of this role is to minimize threats to the company by determining the terms or level of credit that can be granted without undue risk.
Responsibilities
- Allocate work as a team leader over credit initiation specialists, delegating and supervising tasks.
- Train and coach credit initiation specialists and use credit knowledge and signing authority to manage exceptions.
- Ensure the integrity and confidentiality of customer documentation and recorded information within computerized systems.
- Interpret procedures and policies to guide support staff in resolving complex problems.
- Ensure the quality of tasks and services provided by the team.
- Apply knowledge of technical and professional principles and concepts.
- Exchange information in a concise and logical way,
while being sensitive to audience diversity.
- Fulfilling the clients’ necessities while providing an exceptional client experience, measured by specific metrics.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
- Effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications
- Relevant experience in a related role.
- Fundamental understanding of procedures and concepts within own technical area.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication sk
