Job Description
The Production & Inventory Control (PIC) Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end planning and inventory management processes for a high-mix, low-volume plant (industrial control panel industry). This role oversees direct material planning and procurement, production planning, inventory optimization,



and cross-functional coordination to ensure customer commitments are achieved while maximizing operational efficiency, inventory turns, and service levels.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute production plans that optimize capacity utilization while meeting customer delivery commitments.
Manage direct material planning and purchasing to ensure material availability without creating excess inventory.
Establish inventory strategies that improve inventory turns while maintaining high service levels.
Monitor and drive key supply chain KPIs including On-Time to Promise, On-Time to Commit, Days on hand, Past Due Orders, Excess & Obsolete Inventory.
Collaborate with MPS to align production priorities and capacity.
Partner with Global Sourcing to resolve supply constraints, supplier shortages, and long lead-time risks.
Work closely with Business Unit Leaders and Project Managers to prioritize customer orders and manage project execution.
