Join our supply chain team as a Production Planner (Downstream) in Mty 4 focused on scheduling and sequencing. You'll optimize production schedules, enhance efficiency, and ensure we deliver on customer commitments while working collaboratively across a dynamic, fast-paced operation.
What will you do?
- Create and update daily/weekly production schedules.
- Analyse capacity and workload to identify bottlenecks.
- Participate in project planning meetings to align production with engineering deliverables.
- Monitor inventory levels and adjust planning parameters (e.g., safety stock, reorder points).
- Communicate schedule changes and priorities to shop floor supervisors and team leads.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, schedule adherence, and resource utilization.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in planning and scheduling processes.
- Develop and maintain production plans based on customer demand, material availability, and manufacturing capacity.




- Coordinate material readiness for Sheet Metal and Copper fabrication operations to ensure uninterrupted production flow.
- Review and release manufacturing orders according to production priorities and capacity constraints.
- Optimize production sequencing to minimize setup times, material handling, and machine downtime.
- Monitor work-in-process (WIP) levels and drive actions to prevent production delays.
- Validate routings, lead times, and planning parameters in ERP/MRP systems.
- Perform capacity planning for critical resources such as punching, bending, welding, copper processing, and finishing operations.
- Analyze production variances and implement corrective actions to improve schedule adherence.
- Lead recovery plans for missed schedules, material shortages, or unexpected production disruptions.
