PURPOSE / GENERAL DUTIES
The Online Admissions Counselor plays a vital role in advancing the university’s enrollment goals by supporting all aspects of the admissions process for online undergraduate and graduate programs. This position is responsible for recruiting prospective students, guiding them through the admissions journey, and ensuring a seamless transition from inquiry to enrollment.
Under the supervision of the Vice President of Enrollment Management, the Online Admissions Counselor works collaboratively to achieve daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal benchmarks. The role requires proactive applicant engagement, strategic follow-up, and a commitment to providing high-quality service and support throughout the enrollment cycle.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Primary duties of this position include but may not be limited to the following:
- Effectively and accurately communicate the mission, vision, and values of the university.
- Generate inquiries,



applications, and enrollment for assigned programs through recruitment activities.
- Travel frequently and coordinate personal travel plans to recruit prospective students at events, churches, conferences, etc. when assigned to an event. This position requires frequent year-round travel, with the highest travel between September to November.
- Actively recruit and enroll new students into the university’s programs.
- Manage a portfolio of prospective students, providing personalized guidance from point of inquiry through the first week of classes.
- Conduct timely and strategic follow-up via phone, email, video, and in-person interactions.
- Support and monitor applicant progress, ensuring completion of application materials and timely decisions.
- Maintain accurate communication logs and applicant files in the CRM system.
