The Tax Manager is responsible for supporting the company's direct and indirect tax compliance, tax reporting, and tax planning activities in Mexico. This role ensures the timely and accurate filing of tax returns, compliance with Mexican tax regulations, and support for audits and tax-related projects. The Tax Manager works closely with Finance, Accounting, Payroll, and external advisors to minimize tax risk while maintaining full compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements.

This position reports directly to the VP of Corporate Tax as an individual contributor, not supervising a team or direct reports.

Key Responsibilities:
Tax Compliance
- Prepare and review monthly, annual, and ad hoc tax filings, including
- VAT (IVA)
- Income Tax (ISR)
- Withholding Taxes
- Local taxes and statutory obligations
- Support the timely submission of tax returns and regulatory reports to the Mexican tax authority (SAT).
- Monitor tax calendars and ensure compliance with all filing deadlines.
- Assist with electronic accounting requirements and tax-related documentation requests.





Tax Reporting & Accounting
- Prepare tax provisions, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for monthly and annual financial reporting.
- Reconcile tax accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Assist with deferred tax calculations and supporting documentation.
- Support statutory audits and external tax audits.

Tax Research & Advisory
- Monitor changes in Mexican tax legislation and assess potential impacts on the business.
- Research tax issues and provide recommendations to management.
- Assist with transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transaction reviews.
- Support tax planning initiatives and process improvements.

Audit & Regulatory Support
- Coordinate responses to inquiries from SAT and other governmental agencies.
- Maintain organized tax records and supporting documentation.
