The Supply Planner ensures that materials are available in the supply chain and plan for inventory at acceptable levels. Work to identify if additional supply sources are required and assist with procurement efforts and determine the level of need for the items they must procure.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* Ensures that rolling, weekly supply plan in system supports customer commitment dates – communicates both risks (gaps) and improvements.* Works with OEM Vendors on shortage resolution, clear to build schedule and build plans in support of Ciena forecast.
