The NPI Project Manager is responsible for working in collaboration with the leadership team to lead cross-functional New Product Introduction projects for high-speed cable cartridge assemblies — managing design transfer through EVT, DVT, PVT, production launch, and mass production ramp, while ensuring adherence to customer and stakeholder requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead NPI projects from design transfer through production launch, developing integrated project plans covering scope, milestones, resources, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and customer commitments.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Planning, Industrial Engineering, and Test Engineering to ensure timely and disciplined execution.
- Lead manufacturing readiness reviews and ensure required deliverables are completed for each phase‑gate, including process flow, PFMEA, control plans, work instructions, tooling, test readiness, capacity, and training.
- Maintain project risk registers and issue trackers; lead containment, corrective‑action,



and recovery‑plan execution.
- Coordinate engineering changes, scope changes, schedule impacts, and configuration control throughout the product launch.
- Plan and execute prototype, qualification, pilot, and production builds, confirming material, equipment, tooling, documentation, staffing, and test capacity are available before each build event.
- Partner with Planning, Purchasing, and suppliers to manage BOM readiness, long‑lead components, shortages, and material availability against the launch schedule.
- Coordinate process validation, line qualification, equipment acceptance, test correlation, yield improvement, and production‑ramp activities.
- Serve as the primary program interface between the Mexicali factory, integral product teams, and key internal stakeholders, providing clear status, decisions, risks, and recovery plans.
