Lead Controller – Financial Reporting, Close & Audit Relay Human Cloud
Are you a seasoned accounting leader with deep expertise in financial reporting, close processes, and audit management within publicly traded companies?
At Relay Human Cloud, we're looking for an exceptional Lead Controller to play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of our financial reporting. This is a high-impact leadership position working closely with the Chief Financial Officer, leading the financial close process, consolidated reporting, audit coordination, and continuous improvement of accounting controls and processes.
What You'll Do
- Financial Close & Consolidation Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process across multiple entities and business units.
- Review journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, consolidations, and intercompany eliminations.
- Ensure balance sheet accounts are accurate, fully supported, and audit-ready.
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies, unusual balances, and reporting issues.




- Maintain a disciplined and efficient close process, including close documentation and audit-ready workpapers.
- Financial Reporting Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, including: Balance Sheet Income Statement Cash Flow Statement
- Develop monthly management reporting packages and variance analyses.
- Monitor financial trends, margin fluctuations, and reporting inconsistencies.
- Support quarterly and annual SEC reporting, including disclosures and XBRL tie-outs.
- Technical Accounting Research and analyze complex U.S. GAAP matters.
- Prepare technical accounting memorandums and supporting analyses.
- Assist with revenue recognition, leases, stock-based compensation, acquisitions, impairments, contingencies, and other complex transactions.
- Support implementation of new accounting standards and policy updates.
- Audit & Compliance Serve as the primary coordinator for annual audits and quarterly review
