Job Summary
As a Manufacturing Engineer with the Nidec Aerospace team, you will apply and develop your expertise to support the manufacturing of propulsion systems for battery‑powered aircraft that enable the world to sustainably and efficiently travel from point A to point B. You will work with design, production, and quality teams to enhance product manufacturability, streamline workflows, and implement automation where necessary.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for electrical motors, ensuring compliance with aerospace industry standards.
- Evaluate, select, and verify manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures, jigs, and poka‑yoke systems to support production requirements and process robustness.
- Develop manufacturing layouts, process flow diagrams, line‑balancing activities, and material‑flow strategies to optimize operations.
- Conduct time studies, cycle‑time analysis, takt‑time calculations, capacity analysis, and bottleneck identification to improve operational efficiency.
- Analyze and improve production workflows, equipment,



and tooling to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Support automation and semi‑automation implementation initiatives where applicable.
- Lead and support engineering projects from conception through production, including process development, equipment selection, and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate equipment suppliers, integrators, contractors, and cross‑functional teams during equipment development and implementation phases.
- Support new product introduction (NPI), prototype builds, pilot runs, and production ramp‑up activities.
- Travel domestically or internationally as required by project and business needs.
- Establish and monitor quality control measures to ensure products meet aerospace quality standards and specifications.
