Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the maintenance function, including in-house maintenance team, contract staff, and contractors, whilst adhering to all relevant legislation and site procedures; train, supervise, and evaluate team performance
- Review plant defects and oversee development of maintenance systems, stores management, H&S; procedures, and computerized maintenance management systems to enhance reliability and organizational efficiency
- Plan and manage maintenance outages, including work specification, quality control, and coordination between all parties involved
- Prepare site maintenance budget proposals and manage expenditure within approved budgets




- Liaise with project and operations staff to ensure maintenance efforts align with overall business needs

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
- A practical Engineer with a minimum of 5 years experience in a supervisory maintenance role within a process industry, gained in a Chemical, Waste Treatment/Incineration, pulp and paper, petrochemical, Power Generation or Marine environment

Additional Information

Requirements:
- Experience of managing a maintenance budget and planned maintenance system, capacity to write and implement procedures and directives
- Experience in the set up and use of CMMS and predictive maintenance equipment (vibration monitoring, thermal imaging, etc.)
- Analytical ability and enthusiastic and competent problem solver with a practical approach to solving engineering problems
- Good communication and organizational skills, able to manage and motivate the maintenance team and contr
