To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Product Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Campus.
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Product Engineer role involves being responsible for receiving, evaluating, cleaning, and customizing all technical information and documentation from the customer related to their product, derived from a New Product Introduction (NPI) or a design change, to establish all necessary processes to manufacture it while maintaining its design and performance integrity.
What a typical day looks like:
- Handle product transfer and new product set up.
- Support production by assessing product engineering issues of diverse scope that arise on production line.
- Suggest improvements to process to obtain improved quality and production yield.
- Solve product related problems and perform failure evaluation related to product issues.
- Interact with customer and various departments on product related issues.
- Work with design team to resolve design related issues.
- Suggest modification to work instructions, material, or product changes to ensure excellent quality of products.
- Customer’s Bill of Material (BOM) evaluation and structure definition for production.
- Functional Product Documentation review.
- Safety Requirements and regulations compliance identification.
- Engineering Drawings Interpretation of parts and assemblies.
- Request customer for drawing corrections, additions, clarification, measurements methods.
