What We Need
Reporting to the Automation Manager, the Shift Manager is a key operational leader responsible for overseeing the performance, reliability, and safety of Symbotic’s highly automated robotic systems during assigned shifts. This role blends strong people leadership with technical oversight, including monitoring system health, troubleshooting automation issues, and ensuring the efficient operation of robotic vehicles, vertical lifts, automated adapters, and warehouse execution systems.

The Shift Manager serves as the primary on-shift liaison between the customer, Symbotic operations, engineering and maintenance teams, ensuring escalations are handled appropriately, recurring issues are addressed, and automation performance meets contractual KPIs.



The adecuado candidate is a decisive, safety-driven leader who can translate system data into actionable insights, coach teams through complex problems, and maintain high levels of reliability in a fast-paced, automated environment.

What You’ll Do
- Oversee daily shift operations and team performance across robotics, automated systems and operational workflows.
- Partner with customer Operations Managers and internal cross-functional teams (Maintenance, SRTE, Engineering) to resolve automation‑related and operational issues.
- Support and drive root‑cause analysis on recurring system faults and implement corrective actions to improve system stability and performance.
- Execute standard operating procedures and adjust workflows based on system behavior, shift conditions and customer requirements.
- Familiarity with SQL, Linux or Python and building data analytic reports.
- Experience troubleshooting 3‑Phase 480 e
