Directive is looking for an Accounting Intern to join our finance team and support the day-to-day accounting operations of a fast-growing B2B performance marketing agency. This role sits at the intersection of accuracy and insight — you'll help keep the books clean while contributing to the financial reporting that drives how we run the business.

You’ll be responsible for assisting in the monthly close process, reconciliations, and maintaining the integrity of our general ledger. You’ll work closely with the Assistant Controller & Accountant and have a chance for learning & growth.

Roles & Responsibilities:
The accounting intern provides assistance with the following:
- Accounts payable duties & cash disbursement duties
- Accounts receivable duties & cash receipts
- Billing, new client generation, and lost client processes with strong attention to accuracy
- Weekly posted transactions
- Year-end 1099 forms & periodic business compliance filings
- Semi-monthly payroll processing and quarterly audit of deductions and benefits
- Monitor vendor payments and collection of W-9s needed




- Adherence to process checklists, policies, and procedures
- Performs Month End Close Duties including reconciling bank and credit card statements and appropriate journal entries in accordance with monthly close process checklists
- Maintain balance sheet account schedules (Accruals, Prepaids, Fixed Assets, Debt Amortization)
- Maintain affiliate payment schedules and account reconciliations
- Assist with Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Ad Hoc Reporting
