ProfileServes as the technical resource to the Design, Manufacturing, Program Management, Supply Chain, Quality, etc. Communities for electrical and mechanical component, materials and related process support. Directs Failure and Root Cause analysis and provides technical assistance with material verification resolution, specification or drawing exceptions, supplier issues, and manufacturing related issues for assigned technologies. Identifies, evaluates, and recommends new components for new product development requirements and for improving existing manufacturing process yields. Uses independent judgment to make decisions in day‑to‑day job responsibilities the majority of the time under general supervision.
What You Will Do
- Understand preferred technologies, sources of supply, and acceptance criteria for multiple commodities.
- Apply techniques for the documentation and release of components, processes and design guidelines in accordance with department policies.




- Perform Failure and Root Cause Analysis of moderate complexity and corrective action as needed.
- Provide technical assistance with material verification resolution, specification or drawing exceptions, supplier issues, and manufacturing related issues.
- Identify, evaluate, and recommend components, materials and/or manufacturers for new product requirements and for improving existing manufacturing process yields.
- Analyze parametric data, preference codes, and obsolescence prediction data for assigned projects.
- Provide Design Engineering community support including design development assistance, interfacing, communication, component application issue resolution, and general question/issue resolution.
- Provide general technical support including activities associated with Bidding/Negotiating, Data Collection, and Analysis.
