Senior API Backend Developer
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Python FastAPI.
- Lead backend architecture design and contribute to technical decisions that ensure performance, maintainability, and scalability.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, product teams, and other stakeholders to integrate user-facing elements with server‑side logic.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, reliability, and scalability while ensuring security and data protection best practices.
- Review code, enforce engineering standards, and mentor other developers to promote high‑quality, maintainable code.
- Identify system bottlenecks, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive performance and reliability improvements.
- Participate in and influence the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Promote best practices in API design, testing, observability, and CI/CD automation.
- Stay current with industry trends,



emerging technologies, and backend engineering practices, and proactively recommend improvements where relevant.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in backend development, with strong expertise in Python and solid hands‑on experience with FastAPI.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles, microservices architecture, and distributed systems concepts.
- Proven experience designing scalable and maintainable backend systems in production environments.
- Proficient in SQL and/or NoSQL database design, optimization, and performance tuning.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing strategies, and modern DevOps practices.
- Solid understanding of application security, authentication/authorization mechanisms, and secure coding practices.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical challenges and propose pragmatic solutions.
