Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry. This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications.



The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Role Purpose
Performs a variety of technical duties and activities including experimental procedures, collection of data from manufacturing processes, data analysis, graphical analysis, and carry out technical presentations, applies process engineering knowledge, skills and expertise from concept through delivery of process including necessary equipment at production areas, works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable variables to fully understand mechanistic root-cause, exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining robust and sustainable solutions, support projects under appropriate supervision and direction from responsible engineer or supervisor.
