Job Title: Mainframe Developer (Core Banking)Location: Hybrid in Mexico City, Monterrey, Guadalajara and QueretaroEmployment Type: Full-TimeWe are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong Core Banking domain expertise to support and enhance mission-critical banking applications.
The idóneo candidate will have hands-on experience with COBOL, DB2, and IBM Mainframe technologies, along with a solid understanding of core banking processes such as deposits, loans, payments, customer accounts, and transaction processing.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, enhance, maintain, and support Mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and VSAM.Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable Mainframe solutions.Perform coding, debugging, testing, and production support for banking applications.Work closely with business analysts, QA teams,



and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.Optimize DB2 queries and batch jobs for performance and reliability.Participate in application modernization, system upgrades, and migration initiatives.Ensure compliance with banking security, regulatory, and audit requirements.Prepare technical documentation and support knowledge-sharing initiatives.Required Skills5+ years of experience in IBM Mainframe development.Strong programming experience with COBOL.Hands-on experience with DB2 database development.Experience with JCL, CICS, VSAM, and batch processing.Strong SQL and database troubleshooting skills.Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong knowledge of Core Banking systems.Experience working with banking modules such as:Customer Information ManagementDeposits & SavingsLoans & LendingPayments & TransfersAccount ManagementTransaction ProcessingUnderstanding of banking regulations, financial products, and banking operations.
