Position SummaryThe Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer plays a key role in driving the development of next-generation products. This position operates in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, collaborating closely with Electrical Controls, Thermal Engineering, and other development teams. The engineer will lead and execute complex design activities related to high-density and liquid-cooling solutions for data center applications. Responsibilities include owning and coordinating full NPDI (New Product Development & Introduction) projects, solving advanced engineering challenges, and providing technical leadership to the Mechanical Design team to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery of innovative products.
Responsibilities
- Design and update mechanical parts, assemblies, and engineering drawings using CAD platforms such as Creo, ensuring accuracy, manufacturability, and compliance with standards.
- Effectively manages and structures large assemblies, maintaining logical product architecture and enabling efficient design iterations and configuration control.




- Generates innovative design concepts that meet performance, reliability, and cost requirements for high-density and liquid-cooling products.
- Leads and coordinates engineering projects, driving schedules, deliverables, cross-functional alignment, and technical decisions throughout the NPDI process.
- Creates and maintains Bills of Materials (BOMs), including configuration logic to ensure correct selection of components and options based on customer requirements.
- Collaborates closely with Manufacturing, Service, Quality and Supply Chain teams to understand downstream needs and incorporate them into robust product designs.
- Supports prototype builds, providing hands-on technical guidance, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring design intent is properly realized.
